Born in Japan and encouraged from an early age by her mother, Denise, Sophie began her literary journey while still a child. At the age of 8, she published her first book, The Lion and the Puddle of Mud, marking the start of a creative journey that would continue to grow in the years that followed. After moving to the United Kingdom, her passion for writing found even more room to flourish. Exposure to different cultures, languages and experiences broadened her view of the world and inspired new stories. Today, Sophie is the author of more than ten bilingual books, written in Portuguese and English, aimed at different age groups within childhood. This website was created to share these stories with families around the world, but also to fulfil an even greater mission: to encourage other children to believe in their creative potential and turn their own ideas into books.
